I believe that all children have the capability to learn if someone is willing to be patient and work with them. I enjoy having fun with youth while learning and teaching those I work with the value of what they are learning. I work well with all age groups and am willing to put in the time necessary to ensure students can reach their full potential.
I graduated with a degree in Physical Science Education, which gives me a strong background in Physical Sciences and in math. I have worked with children and youth of all age levels and nearly every ability. During my time at Hocking Technical College, I was taking alot of biology related classes such as Botany, Ohio Trees, Aquatic Ecology and many other related classes. I was a tutor for 1 year, teaching students about learining there trees by showing them out in the field and also teaching them latin names for these specific trees. In addition, I tutored students in Aquatic Ecology and used mnemonic devices to aid in memorization of these concepts. While at Appalachian State Universtiy, I would often organize study groups and review concepts regarding geography skills in lab and also in the lecture.
