Jazz Dancing is one of my top subjects! I have taken dance since I was three years old. I have been doing jazz for most of my life and I also attended many dance competitions with jazz numbers. I did solos, duets, and groups. Also, I was a dancer in many high school musicals. I was an assistant dance teacher at Louise School of Dance and now I currently help improve floor routines at a nearby gymnastic's gym.

I have been dancing and cheerleading since I have been very little. They have both been a very big part of my life. I danced at Louise School of Dance and competed in jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop. I have won numerous awards, placings, special awards, and scholarships based on my dancing and performances. I also enjoyed being in high school musicals as a dancer. I cheered for my school district since I was in kindergarden until I graduated; I was captain my junior and senior year. Now, I cheer for football and basketball at the college I attend. I taught dance for four years at Louise School of Dance and I also coached cheerleading for my school district for four years, as well as a Catholic school squad for a year. I plan on combining the two in the near future and becoming an NFL cheerleader.
I have taught one-on-one along with bigger groups and I am fine with both!

I have always wanted to be a teacher, I couldn't really see myself doing anything else. I try to make learning and inclusive experience for all children. I feel that sometimes children's different learning styles get overlooked and then as a community we have a child that is left feeling that they are unworthy. My goal is to help all children learn at their pace and at their skill level, not at some standard set by the state. I want the children I spend time with to feel good about their learning experience and to enjoy themselves.

I firmly believe that every child is capable of learning hard concepts, they just have to be taught in a way that is applicable to them. So I first like to get to know the student and try to figure out their learning style and teach them according to how they learn. This helps me figure out where the root of the problem is so I can fix it. Then I like to use a lot of visual and hands-on lessons because children need that to really grasp concepts and to apply it in different situations. I also like to question them to lead them to come to the answer and concepts themselves in order to increase their curiosity, desire to learn, and self-esteem.
