As a high school student, I was involved in inner city teaching and I helped hartford students in their studies after their school. I appreciate higher education and I truly understand what it takes to teach as I myself teach my own children with their homework from their own schools after they come home. I have been a one-on -one paraprofessional at the elementary school level, teaching all subjects. I have also been a substitute teacher for eight years in prek-eight grade taching all subjects. I enjoy teaching all ages. I have found the most satisfying experience in helping a student reach his/her potential and see their self-esteem grow immensely as their academic achievements grew. As a University of Connecticut graduate, I was very driven by my passion for the sciences. I earned a BS in pathobiology with a minor in molecular and cell biology. I was a well rounded student which has afforded me skills in math, psychology, and English. I have worked as a rowing coach for many years and have the patience and drive to help you reach academic goals.

I have worked with children all of my life. I earned a bachelors degree from Skidmore College in 2008 with a major in Social Work and a minor in Early Childhood Education. I also fulfilled the core curriculum classes in math, science, English, and foreign language. I went on to receive a masters degree in Social Work from Boston College in 2009 through their advanced standing program. With my education, background, and work experience, I have extensive knowledge of child development and special education.
