IN NEED OF A JOB

I have obtained my GED and have always had straight As in high school. I'm also familiar with construction and building skills. I am a visual learner and will do my best to make the teaching fun. I have also obtained 13 college credits from Kalamazoo valley central college. The 13 credits that I have obtained are in computer skills. The computer skills that I have obtained are those for knowing and understanding how to use Microsoft word and all other programs associated with it.
I like to have a fun open minded discussion. I don't like boring so I will do my best to spice it up.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of a writing and publishing Masters program at DePaul, I learned and practiced the art of writing in many genres including Non-Fiction, Poetry, Travel Writing, and others. I also took a course on Teaching Literature, where I learned about pedagogy and what it takes to teach literature to students. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate years of schooling, I have taken many classes that helped me work on my writing skill and production. I also spent two summers as an Instructor for a writing camp working with campers from ages 9-14; I ran a classroom where I created unique lesson plans each week in order to engage the campers in writing activities while keeping it fun in a summer camp setting.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have had one year experience as a paraprofessional in a Preschool classroom setting. I have also been a substitute teacher for K-8th grades. I taught for a year as a Kinderkamp teacher. This was a supplemental class for kindergarten. I worked with the kindergarten teachers to create my lessons.I have my Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Linguistics. I went back to school years later to obtain an Elementary Educaion teaching certificate with a Master's Degree. My three teaching areas include Language Arts, Social Studies, and Early Childhood.
