I've worked with Ocean State Chess as well as in Eclectic Karate providing instruction to children of various age groups. In addition to one on one academic tutoring of various individuals History, English, and Mathematics throughout high school. I've also helped those with learning disabilities use their strengths to workaround their weaknesses.

My teaching style is unique to each student's indivdual needs. I take time to recognize my students learning style and provide the need materials or teaching style based their needs. I prefer tutoring to working in a classroom because I can give each student the specialized one-on-one time they need to help not only keep them on track with their school's requirements, but also introduce them to better study habits that could help them excel in the classroom when they do return to school.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a degree in English. I take pride in my ability to properly spell and use grammar efficiently. My experience writing reports and technical writing (grants and proposals) helped me come to the conclusion that people have a hard time expressing themselves.
