Socratic, and lecture. It really depends on subjects. For example, case analysis in a political science or philosophy course can be more constructively learned through the Socratic method - that is, an open and inclusive discussion in the form of question and answer. Other subjects, such as psychology or geology may be best taught in the form of direct lectures with the opportunity to ask questions.
I have years of excellent experience with analyzing, writing, and assisting others in academic as well as professional settings. I have done extensive research on various topics in Political Science and my experiences have taught time that there is never an end to learning, and there is no one single perfect answer to questions about natural or man-made phenomena.

Political Science is one of my top subjects! I hold a bachelor's degree in international studies which required me to take numerous courses in the political science department.

I am very experienced in teaching small groups of college level students. During my senior year of college I was selected to be a Russian apprentice teacher through Kenyon College's Intensive Language Program. I taught students three times per week for approximately an hour each session. I had to go through training for this position, which taught me how to design lessons and utilize teaching tools to help students understand the material. As I am a recent graduate myself, I understand the needs of most students and what it takes to keep them engaged in learning. For example, I frequently used games as memorization tools for students that focused on repetition as a learning aid. In September, I am leaving to take part in the Peace Corps as a teacher of English language in Ukraine. I plan on pursuing teaching as my future career and want to keep building on my experience.

A Little Bit About Me...

Experience in the study of British and American Literature, also have made a study of History in America and Britain as well during undergraduate coursework. During my Master's I studied British Literature and was a teaching assistant. During that time I spent two years teaching composition and argumentation at Bowling Green State University to cover college level essay writing which required both classroom and individual tutoring outside of class. Subjects for that course included a wide array of topics with a focus more on structure and the strength of the student's argument than the content or theme of the paper. A Little Bit About Me...
