A Little Bit About Me...

I like to teach students not only the material but also how to study in general. I am sure learning how to study will help students throughout their lives.
I am a current international (korean), sophomore Economics major student at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. I have taught students since I was in high school. I have several tutoring experiences from volunteering at Churches in the DC metropolitan area to private 1 on 1 tutoring. I enjoy teaching a lot, and I really love it when students come to me with happy faces after doing well on their tests. I am able to teach different subjects, but my strongest area is math, especially algebra. I also like to teach English (2310 on SAT - 730 Reading, 780 Writing, 800 Math). Psychology Professor/Reading Specialist

Over 25 years of teaching experience (all grade levels ~ from preschool to university graduate level courses). My comments on tutoring English : Also teach how to read and understand English slang.

Depends on student. Use visual as well as hard copy. Will to work with the student to determine the best way they learn. Will sit down with student and determine the best style of teaching for them.
I worked in the education field for over 10 years. Teaching elementary students. English, math,reading, spelling, science , and history. I myself have three sons who I helped through school. They each did very well. I have taken many classes on teaching. I have helped many person to learn English.

English is one of my top subjects! I majored in English at UVA.

I have a Bachelor's Degree from UVA in English Language and Literature as well as French Language and Literature. During my time at UVA, I studied abroad in France during one semester. I also was an English Teaching Assistant in French Public Primary Schools for 8 months this past year. As it was a limited contract, I am currently back in the States looking for ways to help others succeed in the academic subjects that I love.
