I have seven (7) years of musical experience in concert band, jazz band, marching band, orchestra, and pep band. I have not taught anyone or tutored anyone for money. However, I would like to have the oppitunity to be able to tutor children or young adults on their way of the journey of life. I too was tutored going through school and not just once. I attended Sylvin Learning Center every other year since sixth grade. It helped me understand the areas that I didnt and excel in the areas I did. I would like to give thas opportunity to someone else.
I learned through visual aid. So, I guess I would lean towards this style of teaching. However, if a student learns better with audio aid then I would be willing to combine the two methods to better educate the student. I earned two bachelor degrees from the University of North Carolina in December of 2007. From there, I chose to move to Massachusetts to participate in a ground breaking fellowship at MATCH Charter Public High School. I chose this alternate route to receiving teaching certification because of the classroom experience it provided me.
