I am a college graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in Elementary Education, a major in science and minor in English. I have obtained 22 credits of my masters degree in Teacher Leadership for School Improvement and am 1 course away from my Reading Endorsement. I am also ESOL certified. I am a certified teacher and experienced tutor. I have experience teaching 4th and 5th grades, all subject areas, reading intervention for 2nd and 3rd grade, and reading and math tutoring experience all the way from pre-k through 9th grade. My comments on tutoring Life Science : attended class lectures, took notes, headed up study sessions

Over the years I have developed study skills to help students with special needs as well as help individuals with special needs on the job site. I interview a potential student to find out the best way he or she learns. I would then adapt my teaching style to their learning method.I have worked with visually impaired students who needed me to transcribe their classroom tapes into braille or who needed me to write lecture notes for them. I worked with students who were taking English as a Second Language writing up grammar lessons,participating in Bridge classes, developing study hours for conversational practices at home and using pictures to get across ideas.
