I love teaching. I always get well prepared before I sit down with someone. A couple of hours of preparation beforehand can make the difference between a tedious, unproductive experience and one that encourages the student and makes the excited about learning. I try to help with sticking points and not to lecture. I have discovered that people tend to remember answer to their questions and if I try to explain a deeper meaning it will only bore them and make them less interested.
At the University of Illinois at Chicago I earned a bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering and worked as a teaching assistant for three sememsters of graduate school. After leaving the university I tutored former students from my labs in math, science, engineering, and programming. I did this as hobby. I enjoy working with students.
