I have tutored my little cousins with their homework before & also in summer camp activities with kids in general! I love to help out with anything I have knowledge in. Spanish is one of my top subjects!

The languages I listed are simply the the ones I use more often, but are not limited to those I am able to speak and/or teach. Of the three I use Spanish the most (as I use it everyday at work and home). My knowledge and abilities on the languages I speak is not limited to basic textbook understanding. I include all aspects, such as: textbook; common phrases/conversation; and slang. I have been involved with numerous volunteer projects in which I translated and/or taught for different languages and communities. I also have many close friends who's native tongues are of the ones I've listed. I even help teach them and/or their children English.

My comments on tutoring Spanish : I took Honors Spanish courses throughout high school and excelled in each of them. I obtained my Bachelor's degree from Christian Brothers University, having Spanish as my minor.

Hello everyone! I would like to think that I'm an all around person, willing to work in many fields. I love one-on-one tutoring for students and adults! I find that I have the full attention of that person so that we can make a lot of progress during each session!

My teaching style has always been "learner-centered". I've always checked first to see what the students' needs were and what their learning style was before I made lesson plans. I have found that if I find something the student is interested in learning and present it in a way that he/she likes, then the student is more likely to engage in the lesson. I've always used the internet as a resource to find the most creative ways of presenting otherwise boring information. I have also found that a lot of support helps the student in the long-run instead of a "sink or swim" approach. Also, the support helps with self-confidence and the student appreciates that the teacher cares and therefore the student cares about learning too. The different lifestyles of our students affect their learning behaviors. A child who has never been more than ten miles from home and whom has never seen a play, may find it difficult to relate to William Shakespeare.
