I would be most comfortable tutoring if I had access to the student's teacher's syllabus, textbooks and /or student classwork, quizzes and exams. My goal would be to reinforce the areas that are being covered in the classroom to help the student achieve better understanding of the coursework.
I lived in Costa Rica in for 25 years and my Spanish is excellent. Because Spanish is my 2nd language I have some keen insights into how best to attack the grammar. I love interacting with people. I like to think of myself as a people person and I've come to love teaching my classmates when they don't quite understand as well as I do.
