The role of the teacher is to be a facilitator. The teacher facilitates the students in making personal decisions as well as participates in discussions that affect society. The teacher also helps build a foundation in subject matter to help develop a lifelong appreciation and understanding of the world through different disciplines.
In May of 2010, I successfully completed my fourth year of teaching. Each year has been different. The children of today learn in many different ways. There has been a change in learning styles over the course of time. Some children may learn through hands on activities and modeling, while others learn through lecture. Regardless of the learning style, I have learned that it is my job to make learning relevant and meaningful to students.

I attend Southwest TN community collge. My major is early childhood education and i have not graduated. But I am going to continue to until i graduate. I do not have any degrees in education. My teaching style varies with each student. I think it's important to understand the problem areas and make the problems seem as simple as possible. I am patient and persistent, and I believe repetition is very important. I also am a stickler on not being afraid to ask questions. My mom tells me all the time, "You know not, because you ask not." I use my ability to relate and good sense of humor to make the students feel comfortable in knowing that they can ask anything, and there is no such thing as a dumb question. I simply just try to help students see the subject in a different and less complicated way.
