I Help Students Tackle Math With Confidence!

I have enjoyed the personal gratification of tutoring since high school. Since I was 15 years old, I have shared my knowledge and love of mathematics with people of all ages. I attended Spelman College and Georgia Institute of Technology, where I received my Bachelor of Science in both Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering. I also tutored my peers at these institutions. My goal is to help students understand the foundation and theory behind math concepts, so that they can tackle any math problem with ease and confidence. Confidence is key!

My comments on tutoring Testing Skills : I have helped numerous students prepare for tests and all grade levels including college. In most cases, its helping the student deal with test anxieties and how to deal with the various test questions.

It is important to me that all children reach their best potential in whatever grade I am teaching. I have been in the teaching profession for 20 years and each day brings something different. Although, I came from a family of medical and science background, I have always wanted to teach and after 20 years, I am glad to say that I chose this profession. Critical thinking skills and untraditional ways are what I focus on. However the way someone learns, I will try to set the individual up to show how they learn and work with them.
