A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style varies depending on the age and needs of the students.
I have my Bachelor Degree in History, and I am also a certified substitute teacher. I have several years experience as a child care provider and tutor. I am currently tutoring English as a Second Language, Elementary Math, General Homework help for middle schoolers, and Elementary French. I love mentoring and teaching to not only children but adults. Everyone has the ability to learn. A Little Bit About Me...

My easy going nature and fun personality allows me to make learning interesting. I have always believed that the best way for someone to learn is to put the information into terms that are understandable to them. In the past I have used illustrations, acted out scenes from battles, utilized initialisms, and made up songs to help students learn concepts. Connections between the content and familiar concepts are essential, and thus I find it very important to get to know the student and how they learn in order to best help them. My goal is to make sure that all my students are able to reach their educational goals, and ultimately by the end of our sessions my students will be able to teach the information to someone else.
