Organic Chemistry is one of my top subjects! I have a masters in chemistry with a specialization in organic chemistry. I taught college level organic chemistry for two years, and currently work as an organic chemist in academia.

I find that the best way to tutor is to use a combination of different methods. For example, I think that pictures/ball and stick structures, reading materials, and having a discussion about the question at hand are all useful and important ways to completely understand Chemistry. I am an extremely patient person, and I believe it is imperative to understand one topic before moving to the next. I like to prepare extra handouts and materials for my students, because I find that presenting material in as many ways as possible is the best way fully grasp the concept.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with small children to adults, teaching English and school subjects. I work best with pre-teens- adults, however have no problem teaching small children. Tutoring is important for me because many times during my educational career I have needed tutoring myself, in regards to language barriers.
During high school I attended a special program, Health and Medical Occupations Academy, developed for students who wanted a career in the medial field. I finished my lower division coursework at a california community college (AHC) and earned a total of six associate degrees. While at the community college, I administered practice test for students in MESA in mathematics (Calculus 1,2,3, and 4) while also working the maximum of 20 hours a week in the campus math lab (walk-in tutoring). Furthermore, I attended and graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in physics and a minor in mathematics and finished the necessary coursework to apply to all medical school programs in to the country.
