I would describe my teaching style as friendly. I try not to give off so much of teacher-student type atmosphere, because many children get discouraged and are not as comfortable and not as willing to learn.
I am currently a high school junior. That being said, I do not have a degree. From both my experience of being an informal tutor and being tutored, I find that students general prefer this style of tutoring because the tutor can both focus and better access their student's strengths and weaknesses in the particular academic subject they are having difficulty with.
