Being that I have graduated from both Concordia College and Ivy Tech Community, I have found that I am well prepared in providing services to young children. I have taught Head Start children for several years. I received many accolades for my work with children from supervisors, co-workers, and parents as well. I also tutored children in reading in their homes and other public places. A Little Bit About Me...

Having obtained a Communications degree from college, I was quite driven to help students who faced challenges in the areas of reading/writing. Further, I had extensive experience in Title I and Reading Labs, even on the college campus where I studied. Later, I earned my Master's degree and did research to assist me in understanding the pervasive issue of a higher incidence of language difficulties faced by these students versus that realized in Math. During the past years, I have taught high school and college English courses to students who have been identified as needing assistance in Reading and writing. I have also assisted students with other subjects, such as Algebra I, II, Problems of Democracy, high school science, etc.
