I taught junior and senior high school for two years from 1966 to 1968 in Bay City, Michigan. Additionally, I taught the SAT Prep in Math for one year at Tarrant Community College in Fort Worth, TX. I was a GED teacher for three years in Dallas, TX from 1997 to 1999 and taught defensive driving for five years in Louisville, TX form 1994 to 1999.

I think that kids light up life and make it interesting. That's why I love working with them. I love the intellectual stimulation of the older age groups and the academic challenge they present. However, I love working with the younger kids as well, learning their fresh take on life and watching them learn HOW to learn is like watching life happen before your eyes. A strength on which I have always prided myself is my ability to relate complex concepts with useful analogies and from different angles. I never underestimate a child's ability to learn something, so long as it's in a way in which they understand it. Curriculum development is also important.
