I am not young enough to know everything

I agree with the concept that each person learns a bit differently, and even more so that as a tutor, I should try and find the most effective style for my tutee. My academic career also taught me the importance of setting time limits for each action item; and switching tasks to keep the mind sharp.
You will see from my resume below that I have strong experience in math, science, engineering and computers. It is worth mentioning that I am also skilled in english (5 on my AP World Lit exam) and art (voted most artistic in my senior high school class). The Achievement Centers, our after school tutorial/diagnostic clinic and before and after school care, is available for all ages and subjects. Tutoring and diagnostic testing is available after school, evenings (Monday – Friday) and Saturday mornings. The clinic is available year-round. Our testing clinician and school psychologist offer a Psychoeducational Evaluation to all new students. The testing is scheduled for two three hour sessions on separate days during after school hours. The evaluation consist of various test measuring a student’s cognitive abilities, processing skills, IQ, and academic levels. I love teaching and imparting knowledge to others. I believe that if you understand a concept or idea, then you have the obligation to help another who is faltering on the way with the same concept. A Little Bit About Me...

I earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, where I tutored for 2 years in the subjects of physics, calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, engineering mechanics and thermodynamics. In addition to my technical background, I studied English and liberal arts for 2 years and wrote fiction for my college magazine. Over the past 2 years I have worked as a volunteer tutor with students in Chicago ranging from 7th grade through college, teaching English, mathematics and science. I am an experienced engineer and technician, and can readily communicate the relevance of math and science to students at all levels. I am currently pursuing a graduate degree in engineering.

I used to volounteer to help my fellow students in sessions similar to tutor under supervision of the assistant professor (who holds a PhD degree in the subject). I was designated "dissector"; Those prepare for the "practical-lab." class for Anatomy. In Egyptian schools of medicine, they still use cadavers. Plastic models are gradually and partially taking over currently. Anyway, I was preferred because I use the "personal" language and the special aproach for each person.People around me call me the best "coach" because of my way of helping.
