Since every student learns differently, I find that the best teaching style is to explain concepts in multiple formats, whether oral explanations, diagrams and pictures, real-life examples, or algebraic formulas. Students can learn through practice, memorization, concepts, or a combination, and I have learned to adapt my teaching approach into what works the best for the individual student.

A student does not benefit from having their teacher do their work. I find that modeling a concept once or twice suffices. After that, a student is best served by having their teacher guide their mental processes so that they become accustomed to the mode of thinking that either results in the correct answer (in a quantitative subject) or a strong, well-reasoned argument (in a qualitative one).
