My comments on tutoring College Algebra : Comes up once in awhile, well experienced in the subject matter.

Mainly with visual techniques.
Have been tutoring since 1983, was an Math teacher for one year in an internship that ended when the city went bankrupt. I believe every student can succeed in their courses. Therefore, I follow a different approach to teaching the subject from multiple perspectives not just one standard way of learning.
I have had over 3 years of tutoring students in Algebra as well as science. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta where I graduated with honors from LSCS. I enjoy helping students to succeed in their courses. However, most teachers provide just one standard way of learning. I do not believe this is the way that students should be taught. In order to be a great teacher, every subject needs to be taught from multiple perspectives. I believe in my students and that they can succeed if they are given opportunity.

I am graduating from Texas Tech University in August with a B.A. in psychology. I do very well in tutoring math, especially cal, because I struggled with the subject at first, it didn't come natural, and thus I am able to break it down into understandable levels. A Little Bit About Me...

I have received my degree in accounting as well as an MBA in international business with a high GPA. I have been in the tax accounting field for 15 years working in large corporations as well as small and large public accounting firms. I have also taught at the local junior college instructing various accounting classes (i.e. Intermediate Accounting I & II, Income Tax, Cost Accounting and Information Systems for Accounting) on a part-time basis over a 5 year time period. Since I have worked in the tax field for 15 years, I have gained a lot of knowledge and expertise of how accounting is reported for various companies.
