I have twenty years of educational experience teaching Spanish on the secondary level, and other fourteen as an adjunct Spanish instructor for Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Also during this time, I have the opportunity to work as an ELL (English Language Learner) coordinator for local school district on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
I sincerely believe my experience and knowledge will have a positive impact and influence in supporting and assisting students with listening, reading, writing, and speaking the Spanish language. My instructional techniques are individualized to meet the specific skills and concepts of the student. In addition, all grammatical skills and concepts are taught and explained in correspondence to the English language so the students can associate and completely understand the rational behind the use and structure of the Spanish language.

My comments on tutoring Spanish : I am not a fancy certified teacher. I don't speak Castilian Spanish, and I don't pretend that the Spanish that I speak is as formal as they speak in Madrid, but I am fluent, and I do know the language. I am new to the field of teaching, and trying to help others while I make a name for myself. I don't promise to make you fluent in Spanish overnight, but with interest and participation from you, I will teach you the Spanish that you need to accomplish your goals.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching children of all ages. I believe that everyone should have equal opportunities in acquiring a good education. My opinion is that all children do not learn in the same ways. Thus, some children may require additional assistance, such as tutoring. I believe that in these cases, children should be in a one-on-one learning atmosphere with their tutor, so that they get the right amount of time, patience, understanding, and attention needed to help them.
I have studied Spanish for over ten years and German for over five years. I have a BA from UCF in foreign language combination. As a native spanish speaker, I am fluent in the Spanish language with a high level of knowledge of this language obtained throughout my formation as a professional in International Business. Also I have three years of study in Psychology. During four years I have tutored students in Peru, and during the last two years I have been tutoring students in spanish.
