My entire background revolves around teaching. I taught in a Preschool while I was working on my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. While there I worked with all ages from Infants to the School Age children. After completing my degree I then went to teach in a public school. The first year I taught and ran the Preschool Program of about 50 children, ages 3 to 5 years. The next four years I taught third grade where our emphasis was on reading comprehension, analytical thinking skills, and writing. I am a hands-on, multiple teaching style person because I know that students do not learn by using just one learning style. While working part time as a law enforcement instructor, I fell in love with teaching. I believe in engaging students in conversation and effectively communicating to them the need to learn and the pride that results in the achievement of learning. I am a retired law enforcement professional. I returned to college and earned a B.S. in Education in2004. I love working with children and feel that is my God given talent. I believe that all children can and will learn with the proper time given to them. All children learn differently.
