I am a life-long learner, both academically and professionally with a diverse professional experience. I have an MS degree in Public Health and a BA in Biology. I have professional experience as a cell biology lab technician, sales representative, medical science liaison, product manager, and as an adjunct faculty member at a local community college where I taught biology, microbiology, botany, and human anatomy laboratory courses. I come from a family of teachers. My first teaching job was as a ski instructor when I was 15 years old.

I love teaching because I myself am an avid learner. I have a passion for the subjects I teach and hope that I can instill this same passion in those I teach. As a Weber State graduate, I majored in Zoology and minored in Chemistry. Even though science has always been a passion of mine, I am very knowledgeable in math. During my undergraduate studies, I have gained even more experience and improved on my grammatical skills. I had the opportunity to be an Anatomy lab instructor for three semesters. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to tutor my wife with her math. At first, this was a challenge. Math is a subject where one cannot only rely on memory. I found that it's best to be very patient and teach the processes of mathematic principles, rather than just assume the person whom you're tutoring knows these processes.
