When students turn to tutoring, they often allow the tutor to do their thinking. This is counter productive to learning. A tutor is a coach, as well as, someome who shares their knowledge and skills. The school setting is the perfect enviroment for character education. The combination of teaching academics and attitude together can lead a student on a path to success in all areas of life. It is my hope that students leave my care with a desire to reach their potential and be better than their peers.
I hold a provisional Teaching Certification from the State of Michigan; I have begun the process of transferring it to the State of Florida. A Masters degree in Education is in my near future. Prior to moving to Florida I was a football and softball coach for close to 10 years while serving the school district as a long term substitute in several capacities including Elementary and Special Education assignments.
