Chemistry is one of my top subjects! I have a Masters in Chemistry and taught general chemistry at the college level for two years.

I completed a Masters in Chemistry in 2009, and since then I have worked as an organic chemist in an academic setting. During graduate school, I taught college level chemistry and organic chemistry in a laboratory setting. I prepared lectures and handouts, held study groups in small and large group settings, and worked with students one on one. After graduate school, I continued to tutor chemistry, organic chemistry, and algebra to students at other Universities in one on one settings.
I find that the best way to tutor is to use a combination of different methods. For example, I think that pictures/ball and stick structures, reading materials, and having a discussion about the question at hand are all useful and important ways to completely understand Chemistry. My comments on tutoring Chemistry : Got a 5 in AP Chemistry, but forgot lots of it. May need memory-jogging.

Very patient. Usually I will explain the concept, present a practice problem, and double check to make sure he or she understands how to do it. But if possible, I will teach differently in the most effective way.
I have just finished junior year of high school and will be a senior this fall. Throughout my life I have always been especially good at math. I never fail to get an A in math every year. In 10th grade I decided to skip Pre-Calculus from Algebra 2 to AP Calculus BC when I enter 11th grade. Interestingly, I still found AP Calculus BC to be relatively easy.
