A Little Bit About Me...

I have been working with preschool to high school age students since 2004. I have always had tutoring positions, whether it was for my peers in college, volunteering for the Salvation Army, or running after school programs after graduating. I am a PA certified tutor, with conflict resolution, mentor, and CERT training (Community Emergency Rescue Team). It is important to me to have a profession where I feel that I am helping other people to progress in their lives. I believe in a constructivist approach to education. Stusents come with prior knowledge of topics. My goal is to get those students to connect prior knowledge with new information. I also believe that there are mltiple ways that students learn. They can have multiple intelligences in several areas, such as artistic, kinesthetic, or visual and spatial.
