As a graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia I am a highly qualified educator. Through the college I have several experiences working one on one with students, tutoring both math and literacy, as well as working with whole classrooms. Since receiving my Bachelor's degree in Education I have privately tutored third grade math. Additionally I have substituted in many different types of classrooms. I feel that I have an abundance of experience working with children in tutoring and classroom settings.
Teaching is my passion. I find that the single most important factor in being successful while working with children is getting to know them. I have been working with children ever since I can remember. I love to engage in creative activities with children while helping them utilize their strengths to overcome their limitations. I've learned that by figuring out what motivates a child, s/he can learn anything! I also know that if a child is having fun, it means that s/he is learning something. My teaching style is fun, unique, focused, hands-on and engaging.
I have spent my life working towards degrees that would help me to give my life meaning. I have earned a B.S. and M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology, as well as, a bilingual extension in Spanish. Since I also love healing through nutrition and energy work, I've earned degrees in Health Counseling and Reconnective Healing. As I continue to learn myself, I hope to inspire people to do the same!
