I recently graduated in Economics from Bishop's University. In my final year at Bishop's, I taught a couple tutorials to assist students in lower level economics courses. In addition, I succeeded quite well in 4 mathematical courses in my final year, averaging 26% above the class average (in Matrix Algebra, Linear Algebra, Ordinary Differential Equations and Advanced Calculus II). Previously, while attending Brigham Young University, I spent one year teaching Indonesian at the Missionary Training Center. Every one can learn. Sometimes an individual learns in their own unique style and finding that style is the key to teaching them. The best way to teach someone is to guide them when they come to a road block, rather than to give them the answer. The amount of pride and prestige that comes from having figured out a problem on their own is the most important thing. I've always loved to read, I inhereited it from my father who got it from his father. I'm an avid writer as well. I graduated from Plymouth State University in 2008 with my B.S. in Health Education. My option was Wellness Management which has a business component but in obtaining the degree I was required to do some teaching as well. In a tutoring environment, I believe in discovering each student’s optimal learning strategy, as well as identifying techniques for making other styles of teaching accessible. I aim to enable further education, as well as transmit more urgently needed information. In the process of earning my BA in History (minor in Archaeology), I became familiar with a broad range of historical subjects. I currently teach at a small K-12 school where I taught business classes. My current course load includes Introduction to Career, Business Management, Business Math, Accounting, and Work-based Learning. I am also the director of the Stratford Alternative Education Program.
