I’ve always enjoyed teaching others, whether I was a kid tacking up my pony and giving informal riding lessons or leading fellow undergrad students through the forests surrounding Salisbury University’s field station. In the past two years, I have discovered a passion for children. I immensely enjoyed the summer I spent teaching riding lessons in Colorado and realized how much I wanted to continue with the education process when I returned to the Eastern Shore. I have designed and coordinated a Resource Center to help students with special needs learn and achieve at their level. I have also designed and implemented a school for children with special needs.

I graduated from St. Lawrence University, a liberal arts foundation of learning that has served me judiciously on the metaphorical road of life. For the past several years I have applied my interest for the ocean environment, marine mammals and teaching to volunteer for education outreach in schools and the local communities in coastal Delaware.
A wise man once said; to learn, read; to know, write. But to master, teach. Teach is one of those nifty reflexive verbs where the teacher and pupil are interchangeable.
