A Little Bit About Me...

As an AB English graduate, I have earned one Bachelor degree major in English and 30 units in Master in Teaching major in Special Education. I have had trainings in Projects for Asia and I was able to teach Koreans for two years teaching them reading, writing, spelling, correct pronunciation and English grammar. I also became a Teacher for one year in St. Anthony School and have taught Social Studies, Home Economics, Civics and culture and Values. I became a 3rd year high school adviser. I also have 100 hours of Practicum in Sped School in Baguio city, Philippines. Moreover, I have also certificates in Inclusive Education and Physical Activities for children with Special needs.

A Little Bit About Me...

Although I never actually taught a class, I was able to learn how to adapt to the individual needs of a student. Some learn visually, others with games, practice, hands on... and the list continues. I find starting out with the basics and working up to the harder subjects is important. So, with the assignment given I also ask other questions of the student to see if they understand the more basic concepts of the problem as well as answer the question. I find this helps them understand the process more completely and the student ends up giving more complete answers on assignments and exams. At the end of each session I hope the person I am helping better understands the material and can gain a little confidence about the subject.
