A Little Bit About Me...

Before I begin to teach I like to attempt to understand how much the student comprehends about the particular subject. I prefer to teach globally and with examples. I would rather the student understand what is going on rather than memorizing a step by step approach. I also have found it beneficial to implement a reward system.

The amount of time spent reviewing depends entirely on two things: 1) the level of the students aptitude, and 2) the amount of material that has been and needs to be covered. If the student has an exam or quiz pending in the near future, the material on the test/quiz gets priority. However, since many subjects in both high school and college have as a requirement a cumulative mid term and/or final exam, it is always in the best interests of all that additional time be spent touching on previously learned topics.
