 Sign Language is one of my top subjects!Sign Language is fun to learn! I have taught children, teens and adults who are beginners through advanced signers. Many colleges now accept ASL as a foreign language just like Spanish, French, etc. I am a hearing teacher and I have taught hearing, deaf, hearing impaired, speech and language impaired and autistic people and their families how to communicate using sign language. I will make each lesson enjoyable and suit it to your needs.
I have been a classroom teacher and a tutor for children, teens and adults who are deaf, hearing impaired, speech/language impaired, social/emotional impaired, cognitive delay, autistic, ADHD, etc. I have also taught early childhood children from birth. I can communicate using sign language and cued speech. I have experience teaching dyslexic children, teens and adults using the Orton-Gillingham philosophy. I am Pro-Literacy certified and I am a STAR certified trainer. I am excited to teach and I enjoy designing individualized lessons based on the needs of the student.
