I have extensive experience in writing through my schooling and in my work experience in journalism, which required a high degree of literacy.

Teaching is such a rewarding experience. It is an amazing feeling when you help a student learn something that they previously had been struggling with. My goal is to help the student by becoming interested in the material. If the student is interested in the material, they will have a better chance of learning it. During my tenure at Buffalo State College, I volunteered at the Equal Opportunity Program, where my main strength was utilized by actively tutoring students in the art of the english essay. I was able to tutor these students and advise them in the general format of the essay. We began by procurring a general introduction, or a statement of fact,followed by the body of the essay, descriptive references, and tying it all together with a summary that proves the point that you have set out to make.
