I love working with children, especially in a one-on-one style to really help them grasp and understand a concept. I know all children are capable of learning and some just need a little extra help. By working with your child one-on-one I will be able to really understand what it is your child is not understanding and figure out a way to help them understand it. A Little Bit About Me...

While I like students to know that I am an expert in my subject field, I also want them to take the opportunity to learn critical thinking skills. I want them to gather information, ask questions and break things down to a level that makes sense for them. With that being said, I believe I have a teaching style that resembles that of a facilitator. The overall challenge is to help students reach their capacity for independent action, initiative, and responsibility. The students I've mentored and tutored have worked with me in a more consultative approach where they can see me as someone to provide support and encouragement -- not always answers.
