My comments on tutoring Ballet : I am also trained in contemporary, contemporary ballet, and lyrical.

I have attended UNC School of the Arts for 7 1/2 Years studying modern/contemporary dance. I have also been trained in ballet, jazz, and have experience doing yoga, and Pilates. I am reliable, and very determined to teach those who are willing to be taught. I have done performances, and taught in New York, Winston-Salem, and Virginia.
My teacher style is a mixture of ballet, contemporary, and jazz fusion.

I have always thought of myself as a progressive teacher. I always thought children could learn to do anything they were asked to do. I always loved learning and felt it was my obligation to instill the same in all my students, no matter what age. I believe that first and foremost, teachers should inspire students to not only live up to their own potential, but to exceed their expectations and realize that they can meet and surpass any goal they set for themselves. I encourage students to take risks, knowing that I am behind them being fully supportive. My teaching style varies depending on what student I am teaching. Besides my formal education, I have helped many people while working for Disabled Student Services at Florida Community College at Jacksonville. I helped my blind boss understand the needs of her deaf students. I helped a disabled boy with Algebra and I helped my mom with her math when she went back to college. I enjoy helping younger and older people alike.

I myself am a visual and auditory learner, so I am very open to all types of teaching styles. I find that people learn better when several avenues of learning are available for a subject. Also repetition is a very important device for making knowledge permanent. I like to bring a fun and light atmosphere to learning.
While working on my undergrad I was given the opportunity to be a teaching assistant for a freshman college level film theory and design class.
