A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated with BA of Mathematics from Carthage College, one of the top 10 colleges in the Midwest according to U.S. News and World Report. My tutoring experience includes 3 years of college level and 2 years of high school level. I worked at Carthage as math tutor and department service fellow, and was recognized for my work by receiving the “Outstanding Service to the Math Dept.” award for the 2008-2009 academic year. While tutoring college I covered levels from high school Introduction to Math to college Calculus. I have worked mostly in one on one or small group settings, with some experience in tutoring entire classes.

As a graduate of bachelor and currently a master’s candidate of a biomedical engineering program, I’ve taken courses in various departments: math, physics, engineering, and biology. One of the most important skills I learned was piecing together the techniques learned all of the classes, to solve and communicate multi-disciplinary problems. A strong basic educational core is vital for success in any field. I understand the importance of not only science and math in engineering but also English since one must effectively communicate ideas to others with different backgrounds.
