As a graduate with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and a Rank I in Computer Education, I fill that I am highly qualified for this position. I have taught reading from various grade groups ranging from kindergarten on up to fourth grade. I have taken struggling fourth graders who were reading on first grade level and brought them up to their grade level. I have taken many courses over an extended period of time. In 2002 I entered the Surgical Technology program at Jefferson Technical College; I managed a 4.00 and missed only a couple of days. During the many testing phases of the program I stayed and helped get other students through the program, I was commended on my drive and determination to help other students, all while maintaining my grade average. I like to teach all age levels. I try to teach in a way that allows them to learn best. Every student has their own way of learning, some are more visual while others are more text driven. I feel that educators play an important role in helping students figure out how to learn best and motivate them to want to continue learning more.
