Michele W - Auburn, AL 36832 (38.5 mi) - Economics Tutor - $33.00/hr.
My parents were both educators and my daughter is a professor, so I can say in all honesty that education has been a most important aspect of my life. I have been very successful as a college instructor and a tax school teacher. I do not have any tutoring experience but with my love of education and my own work ethic I know I can be instrumental in a students academic success. My teaching style is based on my belief that my purpose is that the student learn the material. If that means backtracking and presenting the material in a different manner or using more examples then that is what I will do. Especially in math and accounting, the building blocks must be solid in order to advance so I do concentrate on each step being strong.

I provide the best training possible for the individual student geared to their style of learning. I listen to their feedback and tailor my style to them. I am low key, patient, reliable, and very capable of researching the specific subject to provide extra real world knowledge. Chrildren are our future and I take pride in being a small part of improving that process. I believe that with a little encouragement any child can be successful at whatever they decide to accomplish in life. As a Director of Marketing in the banking industry, I researched and wrote a training manual on quality customer service, selling and cross selling. I introduced copies for staff personnel and held training sessions on these topics including staff participation, tests and followup assessments. I have more than 20 years work experience that gives me actual experiences that I can draw upon to train others in

Michele L - Yatesville, GA 30197 (48 mi) - Economics Tutor - $43.00/hr.
What I have learned working with students is that many do not learn in the same manner. I beleive in what is called top process learning. Given the student a concept and allowing them to explore the possibilities of how one arrives at such a concept has allowed deeper critical thinking and strategic planning. However, this method is not predominately taught in Georgia education system. I have found this method to be very effective. The other method is patience.
Students who strugge with their academic learning usually are having other areas of difficulty which may be social learning. Having clinical training allows me to make a more accurate assessment. During the last 10 years I have worked with all levels of students, preschool through college levels. These areas include reading, math, english, psychology, science and social studies. I am a self starter and have worked with par
