I initially got my start as an English tutor for refugees in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area in 2002. I then moved to China where I worked as an English teacher in for eight years returning to the US in 2011. My experiences ranges from university freshmen English majors up through non-English major PhD students. I have also taught in a community English program in China in which my students ranged from age 12 through 52. While the majority of my experience is in Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing classes, I have also taught such content courses as debate, newspapers, American history and economics. I have tutored ACT two sophomores and English to an 8th grade a few months back. I tutored almost every day during my senior year in high school based off of what I had gone through preparing for both SAT and ACT (35 ACT math/ 800 SAT math/ 800 SAT subject test math level 2/ AP Calculus AB (5) ).
