I strongly believe that all students can find success as long as they work for it, and are encouraged to reach their goals. I am very patient with my students, and allow them to really think about the problem and work toward a workable solution. In my small group sessions I will usually present an example and have the students work on it while I go to each student to make sure they are understanding the problem. A Little Bit About Me...

Subject material can be confusing and very intimidating. I speak from experience. When I tutor students, I ask where they feel they need the most help and where they are doing well, to help them with their uncertainties and increase their confidence. Instead of just giving the students the answers, I will show them where to find the answers. Once the student works out the problem with I, I instruct the student to try a similar problem without my help, to deepen their grasp of the material, and to show them they can do it. Sometimes, all a student needs is a reminder, and everything comes together.
