I consider myself to be a compassionate, organized and concerned with the success of my students. I will work until I find a strategy that will work for your child. I believe students need the opportunity to learn in a hands-on environment with guided practice until they can become independent learners. I am a graduate of Texas A&M Commerce where I earned my bachelors degree in elementary education and will also complete my Masters of Science degree in school counseling in May 2010. I have been teaching 3rd and 4th grade for a total of nine years. I would like to tutor elementary age children in reading or math.

I enjoy teaching when there is a bit of a challenge getting the student to understand the concept. As I have mentioned, I can use different styles to help the student get the concept. I have a great deal of patience and believe that everyone can learn. I enjoy the way someone looks after they have understood and mastered an idea. I tutored all subjects - especially in Math all through High School. I also tutored in college. I have strong skills in Math - all levels - but I especially enjoy algebra. I have two children and I basically taught my oldest son math, since he was a different kind of learner than the way they teach at school. He is a very kinesthetic type learner and needs to see, feel and touch to understand the concepts - so I used a lot of tools to help him. I can tutor math and science exceptionally well and other subjects for the younger levels.

As being a very shining student through out in science and maths, I was always attracted towards teaching and spreading knowledge. I have Two years of teaching experience in a high school for math and physics,college level tutoring experience at brookhaven college, 4 yr tutoring experience from 1-12 grade students. I love tutoring kids of all ages and becuase of my personal interest students always love my teaching style,I also have skills to teach them in different ways in which they feel comfortable and develop interest by different techniques. The parents always appreciate the way I change their kids activites and learning habits. I think as being a good teacher I can change the future of students and thats what my goal is.
