I have throughout my entire grade school career been both a tutor and a mentor. As young as in nine years old in fourth grade I was selected to tutor kindergarten children in mathematics. I like to see where the student is and meet him there. Look at what needs to be taught and discover the best way to impart that learning to the individual child.
I have taught K for 13 years. I understand the value of one on one time, and that students are all different. Recently I spent 10 months teaching missionary children in Uganda. There I taught 4th, 5th, and 7th graders. Students in my class have had vision issues, autism, aspergers, and ADD/ADHD.
