I believe the first thing you need to do is to find out what the student needs help with. At times I have used music, poetry, or
computer programs to get the students attention. Repetition is very helpful and note cards are good for memorization. Taking notes is a good way for the student to stay focused. A little comedy helps too to help students to remember. I enjoy helping students, adult or younger, feel the success of learning.
