Being a college graduate has allowed me to pursue my dream of helping and working with children. I have earned a BS in Human Services with a concentration in Psychology, and am currently enrolled in a Master's program for Community Mental Health Counseling. Learning is an activity that we should never stop, and if we do, we begin to die. I believe all children can learn given the appropriate avenues to success. Within that time I decided that teaching was for me and went on to get my degree and certificate to teach. Once in a classroom I realized that I was meant to teach. I love working with students who are challenging and those who challenge me. I believe that I can become a better teacher only by continually challenging myself and my students. The key phrase “engaging students” seems less than what is required in the classroom. I want my students to be engaged but I want them to encompass and enjoy what they are doing as well. I love technology and new method topics; I have a very strong math and science background as well as excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
