A Little Bit About Me...

Over the years, I have been known as a good tutor because of my will and determination to make sure the ones whom I am tutoring are understanding the material rather than just remembering.For this, I have been known to be a strict tutor, but the significance of this matter is that I always have had students getting at least a grade level higher than what it was. For example, in the 8th grade right before a test to a classmate asked me to review the material that would be on the test, because she had not studied at all.I had ony 10 minutes to tutor this person but as a result, my classmate got a 85 out of 100. In this situation and every, I find out what can I use(weather it is something silly or funny)that help them remember, than I further it into giving them a better understanding of the material.

I have my degree in Elementary Education. After watching a documentary on teachers teaching in the inner city, I decided to switch my major from Pre-Law to Elementary Education. I've always loved learning and I wanted to be able to convey that same message to my students. In college, I majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Psy. of the Exceptional Child. I really enjoy being around kids and helping them learn new things. When you teach a kid something and they finally get it, the sight of their face lighting up is priceless.
