I went to University of South Carolina and I helped with some of the teachers with their tutoring sessions. I also helped with tutoring in high school. I have just recently moved to TN and I am looking for a fun and different kind of job where I am able to help people. I love working with all children. Everyone learns different and there are different techniques that you can use for different kinds of children. The goal is for the child not to get frustrated and to enjoy learning.

I am a graduate of Bryan College with a degree in Music Education, having taken many education classes and completed a semester of student teaching at the elementary and high school level in Rhea County schools. My prior experience in teaching comes from over 5 years of teaching piano lessons to beginning through advanced students from age 4-adult. While at Bryan, I was a tutor for music theory students as well as assisted and edited English and literature papers and essays. I have a great love of teaching and guiding young people in their academic studies. My approach to teaching or tutoring is open and involves as much personal encouragement as I can. Try to customize to students intrest in order to keeep attention and make as entertaining as possible. Every child sees things from different eyes. I just teach them how to look. I know that as a student I would hear one explanation that all of a sudden made things so clear and seem so simple. I try to find this for every individual student. I have helped students from my church for the past eight years in math science and english. I have also worked with my sisters first grade students in math. I enjoy working with youth. It is extremely rewarding to watch a child when that " i get moment" happens and their face lights up with pride, happiness and a sense of accomplishment.
