My comments on tutoring Accounting : I have my degree, have worked as a public accountant, as well as for private companies of various sizes. I have tutored several students enrolled in online college courses also.

I excel at identifying each students strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. I can quickly adapt or create lessons as needed. Most of my students look forward to our time together, as we have fun, but get our work done.
I homeschooled my three daughters for 10 years, right through high school. All three have gone on to Colllege and have excelled, making the Dean's list. In the work world, two have been highly praised for their writing skills. After homeschooling, I began tutoring. I have over 5 years experience and have tutored elementary, middle school, high school, and college students, as well as adults preparing for exams such as the GED. I love working with people whether they are adults or children. I have a desire for helping anyone achieve their goal for life. I know how important it is to assist others because I support disabled and special needs individuals, so I have to teach them how to be self sufficient, according to their level of understanding. As a college student, I wanted to help other struggling students as well as polish my own skills. I decided that tutoring students would be a great job to earn money and achieve some personal goals. In addition, I played college sports so my students were other athletes. I have tutored students in math, accounting, finance, English, and various other business classes.
My teaching style is very hands on. I like to work the problems out with the students and show them how to do each step. I love questions and I love for the student to fully understand. I want the student to fully comprehend what they are doing. If not, they will never be able to do it without me there. Audtor - CPA Firm Tax Accountant- Fortune 500 Company Controller- NW SC I am currently finishing the AD in Accounting at Greenville Tech,and should graduate with over 3.9 GPA on a 4.0 scale.My Accounting is updated to a current standard and has GAAP ,FASB , and IFRS current pronuncements.It also includes Excel and Quickbooks. I have made the Dean's list every semester and the President's list every time I took enough credit hours.
I personally prefer one on one interaction for tutoring . I would first determine areas which need to strengthened. ThenI would emphasize these areas in the instruction process.Then I would assign work (exercises,problems,questions).
