Painting is one of my top subjects! I have over 30 years in the study of the field of art. I have studied watercolor as a media since 2001.

I took two years of art in high school, the first year I informed by the teacher that after a month of her class, she could not teach me any more because I knew everything she knew about art. I was then encouraged to study and explore art on my own during the remainder of the year. I was awarded a 4th year excellence in art certificate, even though it was only my second year of formal study in art. I took one year of various art classes but chose to study on my own rather than continue art in college. I explored colored pencil for the first ten years after college. I then explored textiles and bead art. The most currant studies in art include watercolor and mixed media. I have come to understand that art is a primal language that is common to all mankind. My comments on tutoring Painting : Paint is something you buy in tubes. The picture or emotion to depict is in the mind. To show it to people you have to get the paint to communicate to perception. That is to get a reaction from a viewer.

I go down the path of the students direction and try to help shape their vision that could lead to their goal.
Ive been involved in the visual graphic arts for 50 years. I have done every thing from airbrush t shirts in the 60s to build a huge sculpture for a local hospital. Ive worked with every material available to the public.Currently have a sculpture studio. Capable of working in metal and all plastics.We are now casting parts for the casino business. It consists of dragons that the eyes and other parts light up.These will be distributed world wide. Much of my work with the gaming industry goes to cruise ships and overseas.There is a need for sculpting and original art in that venue.

I am a graduate of SDSU and a mother of two children. One graduate and one in highschool. I have volunteered many hours in elementary and middle school classrooms. I have more than 5 years experience as a substitute teacher at almost every level. I have had the opportunity to also serve as a long term substitute teacher.
